Gavrielle L. Sween, “Miss Gavri”, is a newly discovered sensational talent to come out of the DMV. Miss Gavri is a  recording Artist, and songwriter who is quickly making a name for herself throughout the East Coast.  Since droppng her debut single "Down Bad" in February 2023, Miss Gavri has performed at the Baltimore Orioles Stadium, the Fox Theater in Detroit, MI and has opened up for pop, r&b artist, Toni Romiti. She dropped her notable debut album, “Tales of an Emotional Pisces”, in March of 2025, which won her the title of “Best Pop Album" for the 37th annual Wammie Awards 2026 and landed her a spot on Fox 5 DC's Marissa Mitchell Show "Rising Star" segment in April of 2026. 

Miss Gavri grew a love for music before she could even talk. Heavily influenced by her father, she hummed melodies that she would hear as a toddler. At the tender age of about 5, young Miss Gavri embarked on her musical journey and was enrolled in the children’s choir at her home church.

Shortly after joining the choir, she became a vocal and piano student at Ottley Music School from ages 6-13.

In 2019, Miss Gavri performed both locally and nationally as lead and backup vocalist in a Soca band for about three years at clubs, festivals, and other events until she went solo in 2022.

As versatile and diverse as she is, Miss Gavri is heavily inspired by American artists such as Beyonce, Rihanna, Whitney Houston, and Michael Jackson, as well as Caribbean artists such as Bunji Garlin, Patrice Roberts, Machel Montano, Nadia Batson, and Shensea.

Miss Gavri’s passion for music is palpable in her soulful sound and heartfelt lyrics, making her a must-watch artist for fans of all genres. Her sight is set on touching people globally with her music. Keep an eye out for Miss Gavri, as she is sure to become a household name in the music industry.
